September 2017
It’s been a busy month firstly meeting up with ‘Aizle‘ to play our very first European festival in Belgium. We were delighted to perform at the Schots Weekend alongside a host of fantastic bands including Four Men and a Dog and Moxie. Straight after the gig, I headed off to Paris to meet up with Parisian Barique group, Les Musicians de Saint Julien to play in a beautiful church at the Septembre Musical de L’Orne Festival in Lonlay L’Abbaye.
Myself and Jim Molyneux met up for a few duo gigs in the south of England firstly in the The Fleece Inn, Evesham and then headed to Shipston on Stour in Warwickshire to play for Keith Findlay’s Fiddler’s Walking Weekend. A lovely, attentive crowd came from all over to attend the event.
Next month, I’m really looking forward to being back in Ireland for the first time in years to play at the 35th Glenties Fiddle Weekend in Donegal. A stellar line up for Saturday concert and I’m sure there’s going to be a few late night tunes as well…
